Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our supportive team in Wadalba. In this role, you’ll assist a group of clients with intellectual disabilities who live together in a shared home. They enjoy engaging in creative and sensory activities, cooking, spending time with loved ones and getting out into the community. You’ll be a key part of helping them achieve greater independence and joy in their daily lives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Deliver active support aligned with each client’s goals and support plans

  • Assist with daily personal care tasks (e.g., toileting, showering, dressing)

  • Use safe manual handling techniques in accordance with individual plans
  • Facilitate community access and transport using Unisson vehicles or public transport
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, families and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports and records
  • Work collaboratively within a close-knit team
  • Respond appropriately to incidents in line with Unisson and NDIS guidelines
