JCICARE SUPPORT SERVICES is seeking to employ suitable female disability Support Workers with experience to join our growing team in Brisbane Northside (Zillmere, Chermside and Caboolture). In this role, you will provide essential care and assistance to our Participants, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life. Our participants require only the best! So, if you are experienced in supporting individuals with high needs, complex behaviour, reliable, compassionate, patient and committed to making a difference, then this position is for you.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold a current CPR and first aid certificate
  • NDIS workers screening or yellow card and blue Card
  • Certificate III in disability or related fields (or willingness to obtain)
  • Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
  • Valid Police Clearance Certificate
  • Have experience in supporting individuals with complex behaviour
  • MUST have a current Drivers Licence, Roadworthy & Fully Insured Vehicle and a Willingness to use Own Vehicle to Transport Participants.
Responsibilities
  • Promote and develop independent living skills
  • Provide person-centred support to our participants
  • Assist Participants with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support clients in participating in community, social, and recreational activities.
  • Have a clear understanding of positive behaviour support and active support
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of support activities
  • Meal preparation, domestic duties and medication administration
  • Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
  • Incident reporting and Sleep Logs recording is a must.
  • Work across 24/7 roster and be available for sleepover shifts.
  • Communicate with team members, family members, allied health services and other support services
