JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in both home care and care home settings. This position requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to drive to various locations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• A valid driver’s licence is essential for this role.
• Proficiency in IT skills for documentation purposes is advantageous.
• A caring attitude with a passion for helping others is crucial for success in this position.
• Relevant qualifications in health and social care are desirable but not mandatory.

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
• Drive to clients’ homes or care facilities as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition using IT systems.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations while promoting the dignity and independence of clients.
