MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Full UK Manual Driving License – Desirable.
• Social care experience, ideally within mental health and with some experience of supporting individuals with Schizophrenia.
• Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
• Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging.
• Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
• You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months. We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available and are unable to consider sponsorship.
• This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references

Gray Healthcare are recruiting a mental health support worker within the Fulwood area of Preston to support a lady in her 40’s who has a diagnosis of Paranoid Schizophrenia, EUPD and Learning Disabilities who lives independently in her own home receiving 2:1 support 24 hours a day.
The lady we will be supporting is looking an individual with a good sense of humour, someone who isn’t too serious and has an interest in cooking, bingo, and activities such as swimming and outdoor walks. She will be supported by a female only team on mixed shifts of days and waking nights. Ideally we are recruiting drivers for this role as the individual we support will have a mobility vehicle to access the community. However, there is some flexibility as it is 2-2-1 support.
