MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Full UK Driving License – Essential.
• Social care experience, ideally within mental health and with some experience of supporting individuals with Schizophrenia.
• Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
• Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging.
• Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
• You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months. We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available and are unable to consider sponsorship.
• This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references

Gray Healthcare are recruiting for the team of support workers within the Bessacar area of Doncaster to support a gentleman in his 20’s who has a diagnosis of Paranoid Schizophrenia alongside a Autistic Spectrum Disorder who lives independently in his own home receiving 1:1 support 24 hours a day. The gentleman we will be supporting has a good sense of humour, The young gentleman enjoys the company of his support staff and regular outings in his mobility vehicle.. He is supported by an all female team on mixed shifts of days and waking nights. We are recruiting drivers only for this role as the individual we support will have a mobility vehicle to access the community.
