RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience (professional or personal) supporting individuals with multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and/or complex care needs.
  • Experience caring for clients with limited mobility.
  • Familiarity with mobility and support equipment such as adjustable beds, hoists, commodes, and wheelchairs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENCES:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance, or a willingness to obtain one.
  • A valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently recruiting experienced FEMALE Personal Care Assistants to join one of our NDIS programs based in Mornington. This role involves supporting individuals with high and complex care needs, with a particular focus on clients living with multiple sclerosis. It presents a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those requiring specialised care and support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Travel to clients’ homes to provide comprehensive personal care, ensuring their daily needs are met with dignity and respect.
  • Deliver specialised care, including catheter management and medication assistance.
  • Provide person-centred care that prioritises the safety, well-being, and individual preferences of each client.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, families, and the care team, and promptly report any changes in a client’s health or condition.
  • Adapting care plans to address the unique requirements of each client.
  • Perform domestic assistance tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and mopping to help maintain a clean and safe home environment.
