Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As a Registered Nurse at Brightening Lives, you’ll be providing clinical support to ensure the person we support receives the highest quality care. You’ll collaborate with a team of Personal Assistants and report to the Clinical Lead Nurse. This role offers variety, as you’ll be working across multiple care settings, including the person’s own home and in the community. Typical shift patterns include 16-hour shifts with a sleep-in, along with opportunities for additional bank shifts.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Providing direct, person-centred nursing care and support to the individual in her home and during outings.
  • Supporting the Clinical Lead Nurse in delivering clinical interventions and ensuring the highest standard of care.
  • Assisting in the administration of medication, including ordering, managing, and recording in line with current legislation and best practices.
  • Ensuring clinical care plans are regularly reviewed and followed.
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals to address the clinical needs of the individual.
  • Promoting independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing through all interactions.
  • Contributing to the safeguarding and protection of the individual.
  • Managing risks effectively, including infection prevention and control, to ensure a safe and healthy living environment.
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records and documentation in accordance with Brightening Lives’ policies and procedures.
