Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests. The role requires product knowledge, attention to detail, and a passion for coffee culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages in accordance with company recipes and standards.
  • Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
  • Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station and customer area.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained and notify the supervisor of any shortages.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
  • Upsell beverages and food items to enhance the guest experience.
  • Handle cash and POS transactions accurately.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties of the café.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
