Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a female disability support worker in the Dandenong North area who is positive, has a vibrant attitude and is full of life. We have availability for carers skilled in aged care, mental health and wellbeing, personal care and community access support. Prior experience is an advantage but candidates with the right attitude would be considered.
The main purpose of your job is to support the client to be as involved as possible in every part of their day to day lives so that they can be more independent. Support workers need to be committed to their duty of care toward the participants. We are happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker.

DUTIES CAN INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

· Traveling to client’s homes and assisting with daily living supports
· Assist client with transportation and community access
· Manual Handling
· Following policy & procedure such as OHS & Covid-19
· Following care plans and achieving goals with participants
· Maintain accurate reporting (includes digital timesheets, detailed progress notes, risk & incident reports, roster app, etc.)
· Honest and transparent communication & feedback.
· A confident, goal oriented and strength based approach
· Engagement in social and skill building community activities
· Eye for detail concerning in-home risks
· Consistent communication and exhibiting leadership
