OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need, including seniors and those with specific health conditions such as dementia. REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a care or support role is preferred but not required.
  • A caring and empathetic nature with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the changing needs of clients.
  • Reliable and trustworthy with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.

    Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
    Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
    Expected hours: 12 – 45 per week

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized care and support to clients based on their individual needs and preferences.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility and accessing the local community.
  • Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including supporting them to appointments or social activities.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor and document client progress, reporting any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate professionals.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and keep accurate records of medication administration.
  • Implement behavior management strategies as needed to foster a supportive and positive environment that promotes clients’ independence and quality of life.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of clients and staff.
