Are you passionate about helping others live life to the fullest? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Care/Support Worker to join our team of Personal Assistants in the Nelson area.
In this rewarding role, you’ll be supporting our client with a spinal injury to live independently in their own home and community and enjoy an active, fulfilling life. Every day will be different – from providing personal care to supporting them with daily routines, you’ll play a key role in supporting someone to live life their way.
Please note you will need to be comfortable around smokers and pets, especially dogs.
Due to the location it is advisable to be able to drive to work

A BIT ABOUT US:

Here at Salvere Support we support individual clients in their own homes. Our small teams of Personal Assistants provide bespoke, person centered care to really make a difference in our clients lives. You’ll only be working with one client which enables you to truly get to know them and make a meaningful difference each day.
The hours: 20 Hours per week. (2 x night shifts )
Days of the week will be variable but are planned in advance.
Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness as overtime when needed is required.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

You must be self motivated, well organised, chatty, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with:

  • Giving emotional support to a person that was very active
  • Supporting with personal care
  • Administration of medication.
  • Providing companionship
  • Household cleaning as part of the day to day routine.
  • Working well in the team of current PAs
  • Prior experience in critical care is preferred but training will be given
