The nurse coordinator role involves:

• Communicates, counsels, educates, and supports patients throughout their fertility journey.
• Includes providing education and resources (treatment protocols, procedures, medications, consents) to patients
• Cycle monitoring management and communication of results
• Assists patients in understanding emotional and medical implications of fertility treatment
• Liaison between physician, health care team, donor/surrogate agencies and patient(s)
• Participate in case discussions to improve clinical decision-making and patient care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development
• Performing intrauterine inseminations
• Perform pre- and post-operative care of patients, including Intravenous therapy, IV sedation administration, continuous operative and recovery care monitoring
• Perform scrub nurse duties for procedures (including egg retrieval, embryo transfer, biopsies, D&Cs)
