Location: CRGH, UK
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week), across a 5-day working week, with one in four weekends required

Responsibilities

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Patient Care: Provide compassionate, patient-centred care that prioritizes privacy, dignity, and well-being at all times.
  • Fertility Treatments: Assist with fertility treatments, including performing phlebotomy, administering medications, and updating treatment plans in IDEAS.
  • Procedures & Consultations: Assist with procedures, follow aseptic techniques, and perform decontamination on trans-vaginal probes. Conduct patient consultations, provide injection teaching sessions, and ensure clear communication about treatment plans.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly monitor patients’ progress and ensure that abnormal results are reported to the medical team promptly. Liaise with the medical team to coordinate patient care and provide follow-up information.
  • Medication Management: Safely administer medications, manage stock levels, and ensure proper handling of medications in compliance with relevant protocols.
  • Emergency Support: Be competent in basic life support and provide calm, effective assistance during emergency situations.

NON-CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stock Management: Oversee the management and rotation of stock in clinical areas, report any stock shortages to the Nurse Manager, and assist with the ordering process.
  • Quality Control: Perform daily quality management checks, including reviewing emergency equipment, clinical supplies, and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and liaise with external partners, such as satellite clinics, andrology solutions, and suppliers.
  • Administrative Duties: Ensure timely responses to patient inquiries and emails, maintain clear documentation, and manage patient appointments and treatment schedules.
  • Safety & Compliance: Uphold HFEA and clinical protocols, ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
