POSITION OVERVIEW

The Festival Editor, Video Content is charged with editing marketing video assignments from the Creative Content Editor related to the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.
Working closely under the direction of the Content Producer, the Festival Editor, Video Content supports Sundance Institute’s commitment to creating content that highlights the needed work of independent filmmakers, and the resources that Sundance provides these artists.
This temporary position works full time (40 hours per week) from Monday, October 27, 2025 through Friday, February 20, 2026 and must be based within a commutable distance to our Park City, UT office. While much of the day-to-day work may be performed remotely leading up to the Festival, this position will need to work onsite at key points throughout the duration of employment. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required at key points to meet deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned.

YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING DIRECT OR TRANSFERABLE SKILL SETS:

  • 3 years of related experience in video editing.
  • Very comfortable editing both social driven content and longform content, including vertical and horizontal.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Frame.io and Camera to Cloud.
  • A strong understanding of both commercial video structure and current aesthetic trends.
  • High level of knowledge editing marketing materials for the digital space.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and companion applications especially After Effects
  • Ability to work with basic motion graphics, advanced motion graphic experience a plus.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
