Job Title: Operations Manager
Working Hours: Part-time, flexible shifts leading up to and during the event
Reports To: CEO, Head of Brand Partnerships
Office Location: Huckletree, The Express Building, 9 Great Ancoats St, Manchester M4 5AD
Festival Location: Wimbledon Park, London, UK
Event Dates: 12th, 13th and 14th June 2025

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Event Management Experience: Proven experience in event operations or management, particularly in festivals, outdoor, or large-scale events.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and manage a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to think on your feet and resolve issues quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to the event experience.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to liaise with different stakeholders, including vendors, staff, and festival-goers.
  • Health & Safety Knowledge: Understanding of health and safety procedures and regulations for public events. First aid knowledge is a plus.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and remain calm under pressure.
  • Passion for Wellness: A genuine interest in wellness, fitness, or sustainability, with an understanding of the festival’s mission and vision.
Responsibilities
  • Event Operations Management: Oversee the operational aspects of the festival, ensuring everything runs smoothly before, during, and after the event. This includes site setup, vendor coordination, and overseeing the layout of the festival grounds.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of part-time staff and volunteers, ensuring they are well-informed, motivated, and performing their tasks efficiently.
  • Vendor & Partner Coordination: Coordinate with wellness brands, food vendors, and other event partners to ensure all needs are met, including logistical requirements, setup times, and materials.
  • Logistics & Site Setup: Manage the setup of key areas including wellness spaces, fitness zones, vendor booths, signage, and infrastructure such as stages, sound systems, and more. Ensure all festival equipment and materials are delivered and set up on time.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including crowd control, emergency procedures, and the general well-being of all attendees, staff, and vendors.
  • Event Schedule Coordination: Collaborate with the festival programming team to ensure smooth transitions between wellness workshops, fitness sessions, and speaker talks, minimizing delays.
  • Communication: Serve as the key point of contact for all event staff, vendors, and participants to resolve issues, answer queries, and ensure smooth communication throughout the event.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Assist in managing the operational budget, tracking expenditures, and ensuring resources (staff, equipment, supplies) are allocated efficiently.
  • Post-Event Breakdown: Lead the breakdown and de-rig process after the event, ensuring that all areas are cleared and restored to their original condition.
