QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, or logistics experience, ideally in design, furniture, or luxury goods (Bonus CPA experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interior Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or related field, (or comparable professional experience in boutique or corporate design firms)
  • 2–3 years of experience in a design support role, residential/interiors or landscape
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Suite; basic CAD or SketchUp skills a plus for furniture layout and dimension checks
  • Proficiency with invoicing, purchase orders, and vendor coordination
  • Local to Los Angeles or Orange County with reliable transportation (occasional in office meetings)

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

Foxterra Design is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Junior FF&E Design & Procurement Assistant to support our growing design studio, specializing in luxury outdoor furnishings for residential landscape projects. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow in procurement and design operations.
You’ll assist with vendor communication, quote reviews, project logistics, and client coordination, while also supporting furniture design presentations and documentation. Working closely with our FF&E Designer/Product Specialist, you’ll help keep projects running smoothly and ensure design intent is carried through from concept to installation.
This is a junior level, part-time position with strong potential to expand into a full-time procurement or project management role as our studio scales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Vendor Coordination: Request specifications, gather and review quotes, confirm lead times, and ensure design intent is reflected in proposals.
  • Procurement Support: Track client selections, pricing, and finishes; assist with budgeting; flag discrepancies in estimates; maintain organized purchase records
  • Project Logistics: Coordinate timelines, deadlines, and delivery schedules; support with sample requests, and installation timeline planning.
  • Client Support: Assist in preparing meeting notes, schedules, and presentation materials; occasionally support on client calls.
  • Design Assistance: Help create digital design boards, finish palettes, and documentation as needed.
  • Project Coordination: Maintain organized project files, quotes, and communications; act as a second set of eyes for quality control.
