Position Overview: The FHA Collateral Underwriter is responsible for the assessment of all subject collateral originated though the retail platform for conventional loans. Job Responsibilities: Analyze, evaluate, and decision appraisal reports in accordance with all agency and investor guidelines and standards. Complete comprehensive collateral reviews in a timely manner to meet service level expectations. Maintain a pipeline and communicate issues to Appraisers, Processor, and Originators. Remain informed and current on all agency and investor guidelines and updates. Maintain a high level of customer service. Collaborate with the Post Closing Department on any stipulations for closed files. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills: 3 years’ mortgage underwriting experience. FHA DE, required. Experience in collateral underwriting, preferred. Working knowledge of all agency and investor underwriting policies. Excellent prioritization and time management skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Advanced analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
