Description We are seeking experienced Fiber Splicers to join our growing team in the Boston, MA area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for splicing, testing, and troubleshooting fiber optic cables in both aerial and underground environments. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Responsibilities Perform fusion and mechanical splicing of fiber optic cables Prep and splice single-mode and multi-mode fiber Test fiber using OTDR, power meters, and related equipment Interpret and work from splice diagrams and blueprints Troubleshoot and repair fiber networks Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed Work outdoors in various weather conditions Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Overtime opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) with company match Company vehicle (if applicable) Requirements Qualifications 2+ years of fiber splicing experience preferred Proficiency with fusion splicing equipment and OTDR testing Ability to read and interpret fiber optic schematics Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus) Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights Strong problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Certifications FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
