Are you looking to be a part of the excitement of our growing team? Our team is seeking a Fiber & Wireless Service Technician to support business operations. If you are hard working and have a passion for problem solving and delivering a high level of customer service, this opportunity may be for you. This is a Tuesday - Saturday work schedule. Key Responsibilities: Perform fiber optic cable splicing and repairs in outdoor environments. Deliver and maintain wireless services for customers, including aligning internet dishes and wireless receivers Work at various heights, including roofs, poles, and ladders. Knowledge of and maintaining splicing schematics and spreadsheets Record accurate splicing and field notes to support service timelines. Provide an exceptional experience to customers by being friendly, patient, and efficient. Troubleshoot and resolve customer connection issues. Service drops from terminals and ensure reliable fiber delivery to businesses. Build plant construction and decommissioning of old plant Ability to handle service repairs independently Service and repair VOIP for both residential and business customers. Ensure all work meets quality standards, safety protocols, and customer satisfaction goals. Desired Attributes: High aptitude for learning and growing skills and knowledge Self-motivated; must be able to work independently with minimal direction (at completion of training period) High attention to detail High sense of urgency and follow through Excellent verbal and written communication skills Adaptable to changing priorities Experience/Knowledge Required: High School diploma or equivalent 2+ years of work experience Must possess and maintain a Valid Driver’s License Ability to work an on call rotation- including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to work both underground and in aerial environments (i.e. climbing ladders and/or bucket truck) Ability to work outdoors in various conditions Ability to differentiate colors Ability to lift up to 70 lbs Preferences: Prior experience in telecommunications Why Work for IdeaTek: IdeaTek offers a culture where employee strengths are highlighted and recognized.
