Description

The Field Applications Engineer is a member of IAR Americas distinguished Sales department. As a technical expert of the IAR Integrated Development Environment tools solution, the FAE is responsible to develop professional relationships with customers and partners, perform pre-sales support, conduct technical presentations, and participate in key strategies aimed at growing the IAR business in the embedded systems segment. The FAE is also expected to maintain a high standard of technical knowledge of IAR products and its technology alliance partners’ products and services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Strong knowledge of C and/or C++ languages (preferably in the Embedded Applications)
  • Ability to communicate thoroughly. Conduct a well thought out presentation is a plus.
  • At least five Years’ experience in software engineer or applications engineering.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to inspire confidence in customers.
  • Strong desire to be a key part of a winning team.
Responsibilities
  • Work with customers to help solve technical issues.
  • Conduct webinars and on-site presentations of IAR tools.
  • Understand and assist customers in managing their embedded design programs (in relation to IAR tools).
  • Provide post-sales technical support to major Accounts.
  • Articulate IAR’s competitive advantages from a hardware and software tools perspectives.
  • Develop a good understanding of the sales process pertaining to the embedded market.
  • Possess strong communication skills, ability to build relationships, and create good rapports for customers and IAR’s global organization.
  • Flexibility for travel (within Northern America).
