Job overview

TE Connectivity's Digital Data Network Business Unit is looking for an experienced Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support our customers in the area of ​​wireless and data communications.

In this hybrid role, you will act as a technical interface for direct customers and distribution partners, supporting key regions such as Germany and Sweden, as well as other European markets. The position requires approximately 30% travel.

They play a key role in connecting customer requirements with TE's engineering and product teams, thus making a direct contribution to new business successes and the further development of technologies.

Job requirements

• Main contact person for customers and distribution partners regarding technical issues
• Identification and active development of new business opportunities as well as expansion of the pipeline
• Translation of customer requirements into technical solutions and product concepts
• Support and co-design of new product development processes (NPD/NPI)
• Provision of application support, product recommendations, and design-in support.
• Conducting Voice-of-the-Customer (VOC) workshops to identify market requirements
• Close collaboration with sales, product management and development for successful project implementation
• Support in solving technical problems in collaboration with internal teams
• Monitoring market trends and relevant standards to help shape future solutions.

What you should bring:

• Studies in the field of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable technical discipline
• 3–6 years of professional experience in a customer-oriented technical role
• Experience in connectivity, electronics or manufacturing technologies is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English
• Proactive, structured work style and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proven ability to work both independently and in global, cross-functional teams
• Willingness to travel (~30%) within the region
