Responsibilities

The Employee will fulfill duties in two primary capacities:

Field Application Engineer (75%)

The Employee will be responsible for executing technical sales support, pre-sales activities, and customer engagement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct technical discovery engagements, technical sales presentations, and product (value proposition) demonstrations.
  • Create and deliver (both live and on demand) quality technical content to assist sales and marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Quickly understand client technical and business challenges while establishing personal and company credibility with prospects, customers, and partners.
  • Serve as a technical expert to help the Sales Team drive the sales process for assigned opportunities and accounts, thereby reducing the sales cycle.
  • Expand the sales pipeline within targeted accounts and act as the primary technical liaison.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning related to sales and business opportunities.
  • Drive adoption and reinforce the value of Altium’s product portfolio by increasing subscription commitments, renewals, and brand loyalty.
  • Continuously expand technical knowledge proactively by exploring technical content and the Altium product roadmap.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor products, features, and emerging technologies to strategically position Altium’s product capabilities with prospects and customers.

Trainer, Content Developer (25%)

The Employee will:

  • Train customers with a high level of professionalism using Altium Training Content.
  • Deliver instructor-led training sessions to Altium customers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all training content provided to customers.
  • Develop and update training content, including scripts, video storyboards, project examples, and independently create technical video series.
  • Collaborate with internal departments for new product features and development.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to internal and external trainers.
  • Deliver courses as appropriate and updated from time to time.


Qualifications


Experience with Altium Designer preferred but not essential.

Electrical/Electronics engineering background desired.

Some travel across Australia & New Zealand.

About you:

  • AUS/NZ Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic, Automotive Electrician, Plant Mechanic or similar
  • Experience in maintaining, servicing and repairing of mobile equipment in a mining or heavy industry environment.
  • Experienced in diagnosis and fault finding in the mechanical assessment of machinery for repair, maintenance and service in the field.
  • Demonstrated skills in understanding customer support requirements.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and follow instructions
  • Team player who will adhere to and promote the Company's Values & Behaviours
  • Current drivers licence
  • Whilst not required applicants with OEM experience are highly desired
