Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Field Auditor. The right candidate will ensure correct materials are delivered to meet company standards and takeoffs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform on-site inspections of all homes throughout the construction process, with a focus on materials and material usage Check jobsites for materials that can be returned for credit. Have the superintendent email a material count to be returned Determine if accurate material quantities are delivered. Coordinate with material suppliers on incorrect material deliveries or delivery of damaged materials Determine if there is incorrect material usage by subcontractors, provide the appropriate direction on correction to the subcontractors, and communicate the issue to the Construction Department and Purchasing Department Be aware of ever-changing applicable building codes and OSHA requirements which would alter material types, material usage, or material quantities Audit jobsites to confirm that material takeoffs are correct, and make communicate any adjustments that may be necessary to purchasing Audit jobsites to ensure that vendors are using materials correctly per plan Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company Perform field audits to check slab prep measurements before the concrete is poured Issue back charges for the material overages or work in conjunction with the Superintendent to issue back charges Make minor corrections should on-site issues be identified Ability to work overtime Ability to travel overnight Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Two to four years of related experience and/or training Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license Proficiency with MS Office and email Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred Strong communication skills Ability to multi-task and attention to detail Bilingual preferred Come join a winning team with a Fortune 500 company!
