FIELD-BASED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (PLUMBING BIAS)

Location: Bedford & Surrounding Areas (Mobile / On-site at Secure Locations)
Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 + Bonuses

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or Heating & Ventilation
• Multi-trade capability or basic carpentry/building maintenance skills
• SSSTS, CSCS, or similar site safety training
• First Aid at Work
• E1 / E2 / CTC vetting (advantageous – support can be provided)

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a skilled Mobile Maintenance Engineer with a strong plumbing background, who is comfortable working independently across multiple secure locations in the Bedford region. This role requires a flexible, multi-trade approach – while plumbing will be your primary focus, you’ll also support general maintenance, repair, and refurbishment tasks across various disciplines.
You’ll attend planned works and emergency call-outs, working in challenging but rewarding environments such as HM Prisons and other secure facilities. If you’re a hands-on engineer with excellent fault-finding skills and a can-do attitude, we want to hear from you.
