FIELD-BASED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL BIAS)

Location: Bedford & Surrounding Areas (Mobile / On-site at Secure Locations)
Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 + Vehicle

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
• Multi-trade or general building maintenance experience
• SSSTS, CSCS, or similar safety accreditations
• First Aid at Work

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a skilled Mobile Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background, who is confident working independently across multiple secure locations in the Bedford area. This is a multi-trade role where electrical work is the core focus, but you’ll also support wider maintenance, repair, and refurbishment activities as required.
You’ll attend maintenance works and emergency call-outs, working in challenging but rewarding environments such as HM Prisons and other secure facilities. If you’re a hands-on engineer with excellent fault-finding skills, a flexible mindset, and a proactive approach, we’d love to hear from you.
