This role is ideal for a skilled and detail-oriented professional who enjoys hands-on technical work, traveling to customer sites, and ensuring precision in measurement equipment. As a Field Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of test and measurement instruments. You’ll support various industries — from aerospace to life sciences — by ensuring their equipment operates with accuracy and reliability. This is a dynamic opportunity combining fieldwork, technical expertise, and customer interaction in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Accountabilities: Perform onsite calibration of measurement and test equipment (M&TE) according to manufacturer specifications. Identify and correct out-of-tolerance conditions through adjustments or minor repairs. Maintain and document calibration results with accuracy and attention to detail. Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of calibration standards. Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on services and potential equipment needs. Submit all required administrative and travel documentation promptly. Collaborate with the internal lab team when not traveling to support ongoing calibration operations. Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience (2–5 years). Prior calibration experience or equivalent training with commercial or biomedical measurement and test equipment. Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with database systems. Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills; able to work independently. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and at least 3 years of driving experience. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 75 lbs, and stand for extended periods. Desired: Military PMEL training or equivalent technical background. Competitive hourly pay range: $23.00 – $31.00 per hour. Company-paid travel expenses and lodging for field assignments. Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage. Paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and retirement plans. Employee stock purchase plan and other financial incentives. Training and professional development opportunities for career growth. Monday-to-Friday travel schedule, with most weekends spent at home. Supportive and inclusive work environment focused on employee well-being.
