Responsibilities:
Areas of responsibilities will comprise a local and corporate focus for German specific topics as well as necessary cross-functional and cross-national support if needed. The candidate will be expected to take ownership in managing this dynamic landscape, with support and guidance from OEC Leadership. His/her key responsibilities will be:
- Develop and maintain compliant culture in the dedicated region (mainly on SAP SE/ Corporate level): develop and independently provide trainings on Compliance topics
- Provide compliance oversight on sales activities: work with business to vet and validate sale, marketing, third-party transactions and presales opportunities, serve as trusted advisor and gatekeeper
- Manage and support SAP’s internal Compliance processes such as, Sponsorships, Memberships and Donation approval processes as well as Conflict of Interest checks
- Manage and coordinate compliance cases with German Labor Relations, HR, and Legal local regulatory processes as well as deal with works council matters (focus Germany) that have impact on Compliance instruments and processes, such as Policy and Training creation, approval and implementation
- Liaise with Corporate Audit and OEC’s investigation team on compliance investigations
- Formulate and execute Consequence Management for internal colleagues and third parties based on SAP sanctions list with the guidance of OEC leadership, build consensus with relevant HR, Legal, and Business executives
- Serve as Corporate Liaison to MEE OEC leadership: receive and respond to the region relevant Compliance inquiries and complaints, monitor response mechanism, liaise with relevant Local and Regional stakeholders;
- Serve as senior, trusted advisor and functional peer to Local Senior Leadership: provide true value to senior leadership in Business, Legal, HR, and stakeholders in the region and
- Stay substantively up to date on relevant laws and regulations in Germany, US, and UK.
He/she will work on company policies and procedural change and liaise with multiple areas to align compliance Policies. The position reports to the Regional Compliance Officer MEE and enjoys excellent exposure within the business.
