Description Field Construction Coordinator (FCC) We are currently seeking a Field Construction Coordinator (FCC) to support transmission construction activities for utility infrastructure projects. The FCC serves as the Owner’s Representative in the field, overseeing contractor execution to ensure work is performed safely, in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project requirements. This role requires strong field presence, attention to detail, and effective communication between construction crews and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Serve as the Owner’s Representative overseeing all aspects of transmission line construction activities. Ensure construction contractors comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements. Verify construction activities align with approved drawings, specifications, and company standards. Monitor daily field activities and construction progress against the approved schedule. Identify, document, and immediately communicate construction issues, discrepancies, or potential risks to project leadership. Inspect delivered materials and structures to verify quantities, condition, and conformance with project requirements. Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to resolve material shortages, damages, or quality concerns. Serve as a liaison between field personnel, project managers, engineers, and construction managers. Interact professionally with landowners, public officials, and the general public. Review contractor invoices and confirm completed work aligns with invoiced quantities and quality standards. Support resolution of RFIs, change orders, and field-driven scope clarifications. Prepare and submit accurate weekly construction reports documenting progress, safety, and upcoming activities. The successful candidate will demonstrate Strong understanding of transmission line construction practices and field operations. Ability to identify issues proactively and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Strong organizational, documentation, and reporting skills. Professional judgment and the ability to work independently in a field environment. Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. Experience providing field construction oversight for transmission or utility infrastructure projects. Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and schedules. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work legally in the United States without sponsorship.
