Join True Benefit, An Amwins Group Company, in the search of a Field Consultant (Benefit Consultant) specializing in the health insurance industry for NYC and Long Island, NY (hybrid).
At True Benefit we excel at crafting comprehensive strategies for employee benefit programs, managing over $2.3 B of health care premiums for 150,000+ insured employees nationwide.

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Manage, retain, and grow an existing Program Relationship/Distribution Channel with a national Professional Employer Organization (PEO).
  • Utilize existing sales channels and expertise to guide non-licensed representatives on benefit strategies across diverse industries.
  • Essential skills include effective communication of benefits strategies and a solid grasp of medical economics.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years’ experience in the health insurance industry and a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Life and Health licensed (able to be licensed within 90 days of employment).
  • Proficiency in health insurance products and funding arrangements, including fully insured, level funded and self-funded programs.
  • Strong grasp of Health Care Reform and New York health insurance markets.
  • Strategic selling aptitude and a positive approach to client interactions.
    Pursuant to New York State regulation, the salary range for this position is $130,000 to $180,000, and includes eligibility for bonuses.
