JOB POSTING: FIELD DATA COLLECTION DRIVER (4-WEEK PROJECT)

Location: Nova Scotia (Halifax and surrounding regions)
Type: Temporary contractor (4 weeks, potential extension)
Pay: 32 CAD

REQUIREMENTS:

✔ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
✔ Reliable vehicle (no vertical windshields; no trucks, vans, or motorcycles)
✔ Functioning car cigarette lighter port to power the device
✔ Strong familiarity with Nova Scotia roads and navigation using GPS
✔ Ability to install and manage a small electronic device with basic troubleshooting
✔ Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
✔ Availability between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (or during daylight hours)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented driver for a short-term data collection project in Nova Scotia. You will drive pre-planned GPS routes across the region, collecting road sign data that improves navigation technology. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being on the road, is organized, and can follow instructions precisely.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive safely across Nova Scotia up to 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week (with breaks)
Follow GPS-based routes to collect road sign data
Install and maintain a small windshield-mounted device (similar to a dash cam)
Keep your windshield clean and clear of obstructions
Monitor and troubleshoot the device during your routes (remote support provided)
Communicate progress and issues clearly with the team
Adjust routes in real-time if needed
