JOB SUMMARY:

Aquilla Archaeology Ltd. is hiring a Field Director Archaeologist to oversee archaeological assessments across Coastal British Columbia. This role is ideal for experienced professionals passionate about cultural heritage and field leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Approved Field Director (Northwest Coast) by BC Archaeology Branch
• Bachelor’s degree in archaeology or anthropology
• Minimum 5 years of experience in BC archaeology
• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Willingness to travel and work in varied terrain

• Lead archaeological fieldwork and assessments
• Supervise junior staff and coordinate logistics
• Prepare reports, site forms, and professional communications
• Collaborate with GIS and senior archaeologists
• Ensure compliance with provincial regulations
