FIELD DIRECTOR/ PERMIT HOLDER

At Ridgeline Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Management, we are a team of dedicated professionals with over 12 years of experience working on cultural heritage projects across all industries including forestry, highways, parks and mines. We draw from our field expertise, local knowledge and partnerships with First Nations communities to deliver comprehensive and honest assessments together with effective and practical solutions and mitigation strategies to our clients.
With a growing demand for our services, we are seeking Field Directors and Permit Holders for all regions to join our team and contribute to innovative community-guided cultural heritage management practices of Ridgeline. Supervisors with the requirements for Field Director status are also encouraged to apply.
With offices conveniently located in Prince George and Salmon Arm, we are quick to deploy our crews to sites throughout Northern and Central British Columbia. However, qualified applicants from any part of the province are encouraged to apply.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (required

· Lead field crews on archaeological impact assessment projects (Field Directors).
· Ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards when producing assessment reports.
· Skillfully incorporate data from the field, RAAD, PARL, and other historic or ethnographic sources.
· Track project budgets and milestones.
· Liaise and consult with First Nations on a project basis.
· Foster a positive work environment and collaboration with field crew and community partners. Mentor staff and promote good leadership and values.
At Ridgeline, we develop talent and support continuous professional development of all team members. In addition to competitive compensation starting at $90,000 for Field Directors and $130,000 for Permit Holders per annum with annual increases and bonuses, we offer extended health benefits, RRSP contributions, phone allowance and remote work option (for Permit Holders). Permit Holders may negotiate profit sharing after the first year.
