Role: Field Engineer. Salary: £31,500 per annum. (company van supplied for business use only). Location: Bristol based with travel throughout Southwest of England Contract: Permanent Full Time – 35 hours per week. Don’t worry if you don’t tick every box in the job description; if you think your experience fits, go ahead and apply!” How you'll help to create brighter futures  * Representing a professional front facing service to Action for Children staff across Southwest of England and a part of Wales * Responsible for attending sites, providing technically focused support and solutions. * Oversee the commissioning and de-commissioning of sites providing technical input and resource. * Support the Service Desk in providing remote support when not out in the field. * Maintain professional development through research of recent and relevant developments in Technology. * Apply continuous improvements to service and processes. * Provide direction and guidance to less experienced IT staff. * Develop strong relationships with remote service users and being the Ambassador for the Action for Children IT department. Let's talk about you  * Foundation Qualification in ITIL (or equivalent experience). * Qualifications and/or experience of other Standards associated with IT best practice, such as ISO27001, the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR. * Exceptional customer service skills with expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving complex computer related problems. * Familiar with the use of Help Desk systems. * Experience of working in a technical field-based role. * Strong working knowledge of computer hardware and networks with expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software issues. * Proficient technical knowledge of MS-Windows operating system, Office 365, Azure and Active Directory. * Experience in the provisioning and troubleshooting of Wi-Fi and basic networking, Cat5/6 cabling etc. Please see the Job Description for the full list of accountabilities and requirements.  Contact: David Simpson at  recruitmentservice@actionforchildren.org.uk [recruitmentservice@actionforchildren.org.uk]  quoting reference 12860. Responsibilities

The Field Engineer will be responsible for attending sites across the Southwest of England and part of Wales to provide technically focused support and solutions, while also overseeing site commissioning and de-commissioning. They will also support the Service Desk remotely when not traveling and act as an ambassador for the IT department.
