Description:
Lorneville is accepting resumes for an upcoming Field Engineer opportunity in Saint John, NB.
This role will support us in delivering products and services to our customers safely, efficiently, and with high quality. Working in an office and/or site construction environment, you will apply your technical and personal skills to support other Field Engineers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Trade Supervisors as needed to meet our contracted deliverables.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
- An Undergraduate Degree in Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is considered a strong asset (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Understanding of quality assurance and quality control
- Can work in a high-paced, demanding environment, prioritizing and completing tasks as directed and when needed.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
- Good problem solver, methodical thinker and good analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Has some practical experience executing construction work on boilers, piping, structural steel, tanks and vessels, and rotating and stationary equipment.
- Estimating, sketching, and interpreting drawings and specifications capabilities.
- Ability to read and create schedules using software.
- Knowledge of mechanical industrial construction and maintenance work.
- Ability to schedule simple projects and shutdown work.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office software.
- Committed to learning and professional development.
- Ability to work inside and outside during all months of the year, climb ladders and wear Personal Protective Equipment required at job sites.
