POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Field Engineer at Canada Techs, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining our networking solutions. This position involves hands-on work with networks, routers, switches, and cabling systems including Cat5e and Cat6. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, with a proven track record of success in field deployments and troubleshooting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in network engineering, specifically with routers, switches, and cabling.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN) and networking hardware.
  • Experience with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Cat5e and Cat6 cabling systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
