Job Summary SSR Total IT is seeking an experienced, customer-centric Field Engineer to serve as a trusted technical advisor to our clients. This role blends advanced infrastructure design, hands-on support, and client relationship management. You will oversee the full lifecycle of client networks and systems, act as an escalation point for our Helpdesk and NOC and collaborate with account teams to drive technological alignment and client satisfaction. Requirements · Serve as the primary technical lead for assigned clients, owning the client relationship and their IT environment. · Design, configure, and maintain infrastructure components, including servers, networks, firewalls, and backup systems. · Implement and support cloud services such as Azure, M365, and SharePoint. · Perform server migrations, virtualization deployments, and network upgrades (on-prem and cloud). · Conduct proactive maintenance and infrastructure health checks. · Guide clients through cybersecurity improvements including MFA, endpoint protection, DR/BC strategies, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI, CMMC, etc.). · Participate in Strategic Business Reviews with Account Executives and translate business needs into technical solutions. · Stay current on emerging technologies, be a champion for internal practices and contribute to a culture of continuous learning. Qualifications · 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, preferably in an MSP or consulting environment. · Strong technical proficiency in: ·Windows Server/Desktop (2019+) ·Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint ·Firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, switching (Meraki/Cisco) ·Backup and DR platforms (Veeam, Datto, ArcServe) ·Endpoint security (SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender P2) · Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V). · Proficiency working with tools such as DUO, Meraki, StarWind, Supermicro, and Datto. · Excellent documentation, time management, and client communication skills. · Maintain a positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
