DESCRIPTION

The Specialist II, Regional Field Engineering, initiates and drives the development of process optimization & mapping, workflow design, Standards development & auditing, statistical analysis used for trending and forecast information.

EDUCATION

  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering or another related engineering discipline

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years’ experience in an engineering, or project management role

Responsibilities
  • Drive process mapping development across functional business areas
  • Drive the development of dock operational plans
  • Coordinate and plan the courier route structure and load balancing procedur
  • Initiate and drive the development of process optimization & mapping, workflow design, standards development & auditing, and statistical analysis used for trending and forecast information
  • Develop detailed job methods for all key business processes across all functional business areas
  • Employ standard engineering practices to develop optimum operating profiles for terminal operations
  • Identify and drive implementation of short-term to medium-term initiatives to improve quality of service, productivity, cost, and work environment safety
  • Facilitate cross-functional activities with multi-level team members
  • Update and review dock operating plans with Operations team members
  • Create business cases and project plans to lead improvement efforts
  • Gather and analyze data to support Operations team members
  • Translate data findings into problem statements and drives decision making process of appropriate solutions
