As a Field Engineering Specialist you will: showcase your expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines offer valuable service to laboratory customers in your assigned territory provide routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction Who You Are: High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience 5 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking OR a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 1-2 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking Successfully training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy Ability to travel, including some overnight travel, is required Preferred Qualifications: 8+ years of progressive experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience are required Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry The ability to serve as an internal technical resource, provide support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships is essential Relocation benefits are available for this job posting. This is a field-based role. The territory is within the greater San Antonio, TX area. Our ideal candidate would reside within 25 miles of San Antonio, TX. Travel Requirements: This position has up to 30% travel requirements. This includes overnight travel throughout the week; some holidays and weekends may be required as well as on-call rotation. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Texas is $68,900 and $127,900 of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
