Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in the telecommunications or construction industry.
  • Professional certifications OSHA 10 with Fall Protection or OSHA 30, RF Awareness, Blood Brone Pathogen (BBP), and CPR with practical are required.
  • In-depth knowledge of telecom safety hazards including RF exposure, tower climbing, electrical safety, rope rigging & crane hoisting methods & MEWP’s.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, FCC, ANSI / ASSP A10.48-2023 and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on-site and travel to multiple locations as needed.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and enforce comprehensive health and safety policies tailored to telecom operations (e.g., RF exposure, tower / shelter work, underground cabling, crane and capstan hoisting, etc.).
  • Lead routine inspections, audits, and safety assessments of sites and facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including OSHA, FCC, ANSI, and local regulations.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments for telecom activities (e.g., working at heights, electrical hazards, equipment & sector frame swaps, emergency / rescue plans etc.).
  • Implement safety controls and preventive measures for high-risk tasks and environments.
  • Develop and deliver safety educational programs (e.g., fall protection, RF awareness, confined space entry, etc.).
  • Monitor training compliance and maintain up-to-date records and certifications for all employees and contractors.
  • Respond to safety incidents and near-misses; lead investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee procurement, inspection, and use of safety equipment and PPE.
  • Ensure field teams are properly equipped for safe work conditions.
  • Stay informed on changes to health and safety laws and standards.
  • Act as point-of-contact for regulatory bodies and ensure full audit readiness.
