Stemilt’s Field Staff are charged with consulting independent growers in horticulture, orchard management and harvest maturity, in order to help increase crop yields, improve crop load management, optimize fruit size and deliver premium edibility to consumers. Stemilt’s Field Horticulturists are expected to deliver extraordinary customer service outward to our growers, and back to the Stemilt team as a whole. Excellent decision-making skills and strong leadership experience are necessary. Additional Responsibilities · Frequent travel throughout Central Washington. · Will be visiting orchards and advising growers on tree fruit horticulture. · Calculate and disseminate crop estimates. Table: Values: Integrity Innovation Trust Humility Stewardship Cultural Norms: Assume Goodwill Personal Accountability Clear Communications Resolve Conflict Experience: · 2+ years’ experience as a field representative. · Experience with cherry, apple and pear production and horticulture Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or related field or equivalent education and/or related experience. · WSDA Tree Fruit Consultant License · Valid Washington State Driver’s License and safe driving record · Computer skills such as Excel, Word, Oracle · Ability to interact with Stemilt’s network and database · Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills · Ability to analyze pertinent data in a manner sensitive to grower confidentiality. · Ability to interact and connect with all aspects of the Stemilt team. · A commitment to innovation with an understanding for the flexibility, and adaptability that comes along with purposeful change. · A desire to deliver an extraordinary experience at every interaction, in fact World Famous!
Responsibilities
