Due to continued nationwide company success, we have an opportunity available for a suitably experienced Field Maintenance Supervisor who is looking to utilize their technical skills and experience to train and develop our maintenance crews on multiple sites throughout Australia.
The Role
Reporting to the Global Maintenance Manager, the Field Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the underground diamond drill fleet operates at the optimum level of productivity by achieving mechanical availability targets and maintenance-related KPIs.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee field service personnel by visiting various Australian mine sites where Swick are contracted
  • Provide direct and remote support to employees for diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Identify training and knowledge gaps in staff and assist with both direct and indirect training.
  • Develop strategies to maintain site budgets.
  • Manage the field service mechanical trades competency matrix.
  • Audit machinery to update rebuild schedules.
  • Create in-house documentation, including safety and technical service bulletins, work instructions, and procedures.
  • Participate in the Field Maintenance Forum and Maintenance Continual Improvement meetings with the Global Maintenance Manager.
  • Compile comprehensive site reports to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to site-specific requirements.
    The Candidate

The successful candidate will be required to meet the following criteria:

  • 6-8 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Established experience in underground drill maintenance.
  • Advanced hydraulic diagnosis and component knowledge
  • Relevant industry knowledge and experience in the mining industry i.e., drilling practices.
  • Experience leading a team and with contractor management.
  • Proven capacity in a technical support role, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
