Greater Toronto Area Field Manager
Role is a combination of Remote - in home and in the field with team and in store.
Hive Retail Solutions is a female-founded retail sales and merchandising agency specializing in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) brands across Canada. We are the first and only agency dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to food and beverage brands across both specialty and conventional retail spaces. Our team visits hundreds of retail stores each month, helping brands succeed through increased visibility, distribution, and impactful retail execution. At Hive, we’re passionate about driving results and building strong relationships between brands and stores.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Field Manager to lead and develop a team of full-time and part-time Field Representatives. This role is all about supporting your team’s success by ensuring brand priorities are met at the retail level, driving distribution and visibility, and fostering strong relationships with stores. You’ll work closely with your team to deliver on client objectives while creating a positive, goal-oriented, and collaborative culture.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of field management experience in sales or merchandising.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a passion for developing teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with scheduling, KPIs, and performance coaching.
  • Strong communication skills- written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • Familiarity with retail execution and the CPG industry.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and field apps (Repsly or similar).
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Travel availability within your assigned region.
  • A passion for the CPG industry and alignment with Hive’s values.

Responsibilities
  • In-field Coaching: Provide ongoing coaching and development for your team via phone, email, and in-person sessions.
  • Results Management: Drive team success by meeting brand execution expectations through performance management and feedback.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with your team to manage schedules, coverage plans, and execution.
  • Leadership: Oversee hiring, scheduling, training, and development of team members. Align with Hive’s values and culture.
  • KPIs & Performance Coaching: Set clear KPIs, monitor team progress, and provide performance-based coaching to meet objectives.
  • Coverage Management: Ensure 95% coverage in your region, evaluating team performance and proactively addressing any gaps in coverage.
  • Territory Efficiency: Continuously seek ways to improve territory management and efficiency in kilometers traveled to optimize team resources.
  • Priority Meetings: Run monthly priority meetings to align on goals, expectations, and progress with your team.
  • Brand Updates: Provide weekly brand updates to keep the team informed and engaged with current priorities.
  • Bi-weekly Syncs with BPMs: Meet bi-weekly with Brand Partner Managers to report back on priorities, discuss what’s working and what’s not, and present new opportunities for improvement.
  • POS & Budget Management: Work with the Brand Partner Manager (BPM) to manage POS distribution, budgets, and implementation.
  • Territory Support: Support new territory setups as the business expands and participate in “Road Days” for hands-on guidance.
  • Stay Connected: Maintain a small retail territory to stay engaged with the in-store experience and ensure consistency across regions.
