JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a highly reliable and technically proficient Field Network Technician to execute a precise line testing procedure. This is a hands-on, project-based role where you will be responsible for locating a specific network line, establishing a connection, and facilitating remote access for our engineering team. Success in this role requires strict adherence to instructions, excellent problem-solving skills, and clear communication.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Proven experience in a field technical, network testing, or IT support role.
  • Strong understanding of basic network principles and hardware (Ethernet cables, network ports, etc.).
  • Ability to follow detailed technical instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Self-sufficient and able to work independently on-site with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
  • Travel to the designated site to perform network line testing.
  • Locate the specific network line and interface (GX Box) using the provided device and circuit IDs (SCJ-OC-007878-1 / LAX/SJC/LE-738035).
  • Correctly connect a laptop to port 5 of the identified GX box using an RJ45 network cable.
  • Establish an internet connection for the laptop by connecting it to a personal mobile hotspot.
  • Confirm successful internet access on the laptop.
  • Open the AnyDesk remote access application and initiate a remote assistance session with our support team.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with the project coordinator via WhatsApp or WeChat throughout the process.
