Quality Childcare & Education (QCE) Nurseries is a privately-owned & managed group of exceptional Early Years nursery settings across the Birmingham and West Midlands led by an executive management team with over 50 years of experience within the education sector. Our nurseries have been at the heart of the communities they serve for over two decades – providing generation after generation not only with childcare but a leading Early Years Education and a focus on curriculum that puts every child at the heart of what we do.
We are currently recruiting for a Field Nursery Manager in the West Midlands area. To work at any one of our settings at a time.
You will responsible for delivering our Group’s pedagogy and brand efficiently within the allocated setting. Our settings are all rated GOOD at our latest inspections, which demonstrates our staff’s commitment to giving our children the very best childcare and early years education. The successful candidate will hold at least a Degree Level qualification.
As an industry professional you are passionate about inspiring and leading a setting to deliver outstanding care and education to children, and want to be part of a high performing senior management team – this opportunity is the stepping stone to broader senior management roles across the business as we have 6 regional settings within this dynamic and highly regarded family-owned group.
You will work in partnership with the Directors and work closely with the senior management team to fully harness the groups pedagogical foundation. You will work in partnership with the area manager to identify succession plans for the nursery team you are managing at the time and nurture, create and continuously develop a pipeline of high performing practitioners therefore building the strongest talent pool to enable business continuity and expansion. You will work with the Finance Director and the Marketing Manager to identify and implement commercial plans and strategies to deliver growth within the nursery, commercial delivery of the nursery performance, optimising revenue generation and cost efficiency in line with staff ratio requirements.

You will have experience within an Early Years leadership role (ideally as a Nursery Manager, Area Manager or similar). You will have experience of participating within a regulatory inspection, leading to a “Good” or “Outstanding” outcome. You will have experience of developing high performance teams, with effective regulatory compliance, quality improvement, delivery of high-quality pedagogy, innovation and service excellence. You will be a confident decision maker, with ability to support change and the understanding of the complex relationship between business/commerce and service excellence within a regulated setting. You will have strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children. You will have demonstrated the ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues, parents and external partners.
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check
