Description

Title: Field Operations Lead Tech – Low Voltage Construction Location: Fort Myers FL -Florida Job Type: Full-time Axis is seeking a motivated Field Operations Lead Tech with proven low voltage construction experience to lead a team of technicians on complex installations. This role requires hands-on expertise with audio/visual systems, cable management, and a track record of delivering high-quality work on schedule. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and supervise a crew of low voltage technicians on field installations (AV, data, and control systems). * Plan, coordinate, and execute projects to meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements. * Install and commission Q-SYS systems (Level 1 knowledge required) and support Q-SYS installations as needed. * Install and configure Elan, URC, and Unifi equipment. * Apply working knowledge of 70-volt commercial sound systems and structured cabling standards. * Review drawings, project specs, and engineering documentation; ensure job-site quality and safety compliance. * Troubleshoot and resolve field issues; document progress and communicate status to stakeholders. * Mentor and develop junior technicians; contribute to training and best practices. Required Qualifications: * 3+ years of field experience in low voltage construction or AV integration (strongly preferred). * Q-SYS: Level 1 knowledge and hands-on experience with Q-SYS installations. * Experience with Elan, URC, and Unify equipment. * Working knowledge of 70-volt commercial sound systems and structured cabling. * Proven leadership experience overseeing a team of technicians on field projects. * Strong fault-finding, communication, and organizational skills. * Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings and electrical schematics. * Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications: * Additional certifications or training in AV systems, electrical, or networks. * Familiarity with project management tools and CRM/ERP systems.
