ABOUT ACTIV8 SOLAR ENERGIES:

Activ8 Solar Energies are actively seeking a Field Operations Manager to join our operations team and lead residential solar installations. The position would be based out of our Naas location in Co. Kildare and would be ideal for someone with and electrical or electrical engineering background. This is a full time permanent position inclusive of a competitive salary, bonus, company car, pension, healthcare and additional benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS/KEY SKILLS:

  • Electrical trade qualification or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, renewable energy, or a related field is preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical and solar energy systems, installation practices, and relevant regulations.
  • Proven experience in the solar industry, preferably in residential solar operations or project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team while holding them accountable.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Responsibilities
  • Have regular one to ones with your team to share & receive feedback.
  • Provide coaching or act as a point of escalation as needed for your Team Leads.
  • Delegate tasks or deliverables across team as appropriate.
  • Monitor teams performance against agreed KPIs and develop action plans to address gaps as appropriate.
  • Responsible for understanding motivation and engagement levels across the team and working with the team to maintain this.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure efficient project scheduling and customer satisfaction.
  • Together with your peers, develop and implement standard operating procedures for installation, quality control, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to safety guidelines and quality standards.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on project status, performance, and key metrics, flagging where there is a risk to completing a project.
