Description Recovers, remarks, and liquidates collateral securing consumer and/or commercial loans. Requirements Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience. Education: A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much person contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperations. Discissions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Proficiency in the use of a personal computer to include MS Word, Excel, and ability to use collections and other web-based applications; basic keyboarding; basic understanding of ACU policies and procedures; basic understanding of ACU's loan products; basic understanding of governmental regulations for financial institutions; good written and organizational skills. Very good verbal communication skills, the ability to remain calm under potentially stressful circumstances, and excellent negotiation skills are of utmost importance. The ability to provide cordial service (regardless of member personality, presence, or communication style) is required. A high degree of problem-solving and creative thinking ability is necessary for success in this position. As safety is of very high concern with this position, it requires a high degree of observational skills.
