Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent will be responsible for the smooth and continuous operation of the HF/ALF3 plant. This involves operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting equipment, ensuring effective communication with the Panel Operator and Shift Supervisor, and adhering to safety protocols. The role includes performing routine inspections, recording equipment readings, producing shift reports, and coordinating maintenance activities to maintain optimal plant performance and safety compliance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HF/ALF3 plant.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of HF & AlF3 plants.
- Computer Skills: Good knowledge of operating computers and familiarity with SCADA systems (preferable).
- Maintenance Knowledge: Strong understanding of equipment maintenance practices.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
- Operational Communication: Maintain continuous communication with the Panel Operator and Shift Supervisor via direct contact or radio to ensure smooth field operations. This includes making manual adjustments to valves, starting and stopping pumps, compressors, and other equipment as directed.
- Emergency Response: Act promptly and appropriately in response to instructions from the Panel Operator and Shift Supervisor during parameter deviations or emergencies.
- Routine Inspections: Conduct daily patrols of the plant to check equipment and perform minor maintenance tasks based on a checklist, ensuring all equipment operates normally and identifying any unusual conditions.
- Data Logging: Record field equipment readings in the log sheet at specified intervals and produce individual shift reports detailing events that occurred during the shift.
- Sample Collection: Collect in-process samples from various streams and deliver them to the laboratory for analysis.
- Maintenance Coordination: Receive maintenance requirements from the Maintenance team, relay them to the Shift Supervisor, and prepare equipment for maintenance, including isolation, draining, and steaming as required.
- Housekeeping: Coordinate plant housekeeping and equipment cleaning, including tower internals, in collaboration with assigned general labor.
- Start-up and Shutdown: Assist in the start-up and shutdown of equipment during emergencies or planned shutdowns, following operational requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. This includes using the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
