  • Salary $102,000 to $128,500 based on experience

We’re looking for a practical leader with electrical know-how and a safety-first mindset.

You’ll need:

  • Experience working with substations or traction electrical systems
  • Field leadership and team coordination skills
  • Knowledge of the Electrical Act 1992 and Safety Regulations
  • A proactive and collaborative working style
  • The ability to plan, lead, and monitor complex operational work

Ideally, you’ll also bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in engineering
  • EWRB registration (or willingness to obtain it)
Responsibilities

As Field Production Manager (Traction – Electrical), you’ll be the go-to leader for our electrical traction crews working across Auckland’s Metro network. You’ll oversee day-to-day planning and field operations for traction electrical systems including substations, isolations, standby support, and renewals. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires clear communication, sound judgement, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and team development. You’ll work closely with other Field Production Managers and engineers to ensure that our work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Whether guiding frontline crews, solving on-site challenges, or contributing to future planning—you’ll be at the heart of it all.
