Reports To: Director of Customer Experience, Architectural Interiors

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for managing field project management, installation, training, site supervision, deficiency resolution and mock-ups for architectural interiors projects of a specified geography. Provides input to operational policies and procedures to facilitate process according to Teknion standards. Ensures team members maintain the highest level of service to Teknion and dealers.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5+ years installation experience in wall systems preferred.
  • Carpenter experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Experience managing personnel and sub-contractors.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 70%) and nationally as required
Responsibilities
  • Assists dealers with coordinating work schedules of the install crew and sub-contractor’s installation crew to ensure timely installation.
  • Monitors sub-contractor’s quality of work so as to ensure installation is provided in accordance with product specifications.
  • Monitors and manages expenditures associated with installation services, as well as performs “hands-on” service work when required.
  • Co-ordinates and manages installation projects regionally.
  • Advises and works with the CAD Services and PM’s at LLC as well as Design and Engineering department at Tekcorp to correct product deficiencies, as well as monitor the performance of corrected products.
  • Services customers and dealers with deficiencies arising within the product warranty period.
  • Responds to installation-related questions and concerns, as well as liaises with various departments to respond to customer service and product related inquiries.
  • Assists dealers with selecting appropriate personnel to do the site checks, including dimensions and site meetings for all Architectural interiors projects.
  • Ensures that installation reports are done for all architectural interiors projects that are visited.
  • Conducts specialized on-site installation training to sub-contractors and dealers personnel as required.
  • Trains on the methods and procedures to do effective site checks and site dimensions including site evaluation for the use of architectural interiors.
  • Coordinates and oversees mock up installations including any necessary labor crews.
  • Installs and demonstrates architectural interiors projects as required to ensure superior quality installations and client satisfaction.
  • Corrects any product, B.O.M., and or any other process problems with the appropriate departments.
  • Troubleshoots on site as necessary.

Additional Job Responsibilities

  • Prompt, reliable, and regular attendance.
  • Works on projects in other territories as needed.
